I created a short comic for the first few pages of the Crystal Quest rulebook, and I wanted to share it early. What do you think? Are these guys cut out for a night in the dungeon?
Just a quick note to let you know that if you live in the US and need something from our shop before Christmas day, make sure you place your order on or before December 17th. Happy holidays!
Hi, I'm Strawberry Kid! And I'm here to tell you more about fighting monsters and getting treasures in Villages: Crystal Quest!
During the Swords & Souls campaign, we got a little buzz going about a possible tee shirt. I've been thinking about putting one up on Amazon or some other print-on-demand site. So I wanted to ask you guys... Text or no text? Which one do you like better?
We ran a poll on Twitter the other day, asking what everyone thought about two possible names for the new Villages expansion. Dungeon Dangers was the winner, but only by a few votes. The other option, Crystal Quest, was my personal choice, but I liked both of them. I couldn't decide which way to go.
As we've been thinking about the Kickstarter campaign for the new game, I wanted to make sure we include some custom card tiers, like we had before. They were super popular and tons of fun, and what could be cooler than creating your own monsters? I was planning on bundling these cards together into their own pack, like the Royalty Pack we had last time. And this pack needed a name. It just so happened that I already had two names that I was trying to decide between. Now we could use both! Problem solved!
So I'm thinking the main expansion will be called Crystal Quest, and the custom deck of monsters and treasures will be Dungeon Dangers. With the custom pack being nothing but dungeon cards, I think the name fits. I'm excited to see what everyone comes up with! Some of my all-time favorite Villages cards are in the Royalty Pack.
We're hoping to launch the Kickstarter campaign in early 2019. I would love everyone's feedback on the page and reward tiers and everything else as we get it set up. I know I've been really inconsistent with this blog and social media since pretty much forever, but I've been wanting to kick things up a notch lately and make Fridgecrisis Games a fun experience for everybody. Not just the games themselves, but also the community we build and the interactions we have.
Thanks for reading! Have a lovely Saturday, and good luck to everyone looking for a shiny Cyndaquil! 🍀
